The procedure for filming in Lloret de Mar is described below:

2.1 If filming is to take place in several locations in the town, please bear in mind the following:
- It is possible that there are some areas in the town (beaches, port areas, natural parks, etc.) where authorisation must be sought from other bodies in addition to the town council. In such cases, please get in touch with the corresponding body.
- Vehicles must be parked in authorised spaces on public roads. Road sign regulations will be determined by municipal officials. The production company is responsible for booking the location beforehand.
- Road and pedestrian traffic may not be stopped unless the permit specifically authorises otherwise.
PLEASE NOTE: Between April and May the beaches of Lloret may be affected by works to alter and prepare them for the summer season (assembly of beach kiosks, installing of showers and ramps, etc.). This may alter the appearance of the setting in respect of the location scout’s visits.
3. FEASIBILITY AND CALCULATION OF FILMING TAXES
Once it receives the filming enquiry form, the Lloret Film Office evaluates feasibility and calculates the corresponding taxes for filming in Lloret de Mar. Taxes are calculated on the basis of the following local tax regulations:
- Local tax regulation 18. Taxes for visits to museums, exhibitions, historical or artistic monuments, parks, gardens and other centres.
- Local tax regulation 19. Tax for carrying out one-off activities for which the presence of the municipal police force is required.
- Local tax regulation 23. Regulates various taxes for the private or special use of local public space.
4. PROCESSING OF PERMITS.
4.1 MUNICIPAL APPLICATION.
If the production company accepts the Lloret Film Office’s proposal it must present a formal application in person (not by fax or e-mail) at the OIAC (Citizen Information and Assistance Office) of Lloret de Mar Town Council, attaching the following documents:
- Filming enquiry form
- Document for the calculation of filming taxes, drawn up by the Lloret Film Office

4.2 PAYMENT.
The OIAC draws up the payment document on the basis of the filming tax calculation document. The production company can settle payment by Visa card, certified cheque, bank transfer or in cash.
4.3 PERMIT.
Once the receipt of payment has been handed in at the Mayor’s Office in Lloret de Mar, a filming permit is issued. The Mayor’s Office will send a copy of the permit to the affected bodies: OIAC, Municipal Police Force and Lloret Film Office. If filming is to take place on the beach, a copy of the permit will also be sent to the Coastal Department. Permits will be sent to applicants by fax or e-mail, or alternatively can be collected at the Mayor’s Office of Lloret de Mar Town Council (Plaça de la Vila, 1). Opening hours: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
5.BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL AUTHORISATIONS
5.1 IF ELEMENTS OF PUBLIC ROADS ARE DAMAGED
The production company will bear the repair costs of damaged elements.
5.2 INSURANCE
The production company must show that it holds a civil liability insurance policy that covers potential risks for third parties.
5.3 CLEANING
The production company will be responsible for cleaning public roads after use.
